Lexus IS250
Stage 1 Paint Correction + TAC System Quartz Max
To start off, to detail a black car is a challenge to majority of the detailers. Because if there's any imperfections, we can see it right away. The paintwork of this Lexus is full of heavy swirl marks, minor scratches, water spots, some oxidation, dull and holograms from unprofessional buffing with a rotary buffer.
Stage 1 Paint Correction is then carried out to remove majority of those defects and also bringing up the gloss.

Car is prepped with TAC System's Ultra Foam - Snow foam to losen up the dirt and grime, followed by a 2-bucket method wash (safest way to wash a car without instilling any swirlmarks while washing it.
Wheels is then cleaned with TAC System's Iron Zero Wheels is then cleaned using TAC System Iron Zero (iron fallout remover, brake dust are generally iron, whenever iron zero comes in contact with iron, it turns purple)
After the washing and decontamination stage, car is then dried with a microfibre waffle weave drying towel from TAC System. (We avoid using chamois "shammy" because that's one of the main reasons it causes swirls on your paintwork.)
A clar bar treatment is then carried out to remove bonded contaminants (gritty feeling) on the paintwork prior to the correction process.

Don't let it fool you, paint might look great after a good wash. But after putting in under a good special lighting, it looks completely different.
Before any correction work, the paint is first measured with a Paint Thickness Gauge to ensure there's enough paint for us to work around with.
We try out on a test spot for different pads and combinations to find the best results (every car's paint is different) and we found the right combo after several attempt. We manage to remove majority of the defects and also finishing it down with a high gloss with Stage 1.

After the correction, car is wiped down with IPA prior to the LSP (Last step product to protect the paintwork)
Quartz Max is then applied thoroughout the whole car for a deep shine and protection.
Black car is the the hardest colour for detailers but the results and finish is phenomenal!

The car certainly looks like a brand new car, coming out from the dealer showroom again.
