Concours Detail
Detailing Kingdom Fluid Dynamics Teflon (dK FDT)

We had a lifetime opportunity to work on a vintage, rare 1950s, modern hand-crafted version of the famed British competition roadster that stirred crowds in Europe and North America. Utilising the range of Detailing Kingdom products.
For vintage cars like this, it is not a good idea to use modern decontamination techniques as they are not design to handle high pressure rinse like modern today cars do. Using Optimum's No Rinse Rinseless wash to wash over the whole car and using Detailing Kingdom's Car Hydra and fine clay bar to safely remove decontaminants and iron fall outs.
Rinseless car wash
This vintage roadster has been restored at some point of its life and it is not well taken care of, whole car is filled with RIDS (Random Isolated Deep Scratches) and swirl marks. A several stages of paint correction is then carried out to restore back to showroom condition.

Stage 2 Paint Correction
Detailing Kingdom Fluid Dynamics DK9

Black cars are every detailer's nightmare. But the finished results are usually the best looking shine. It always reminds us the reason why love detailing - the result we spent hours, sometimes even days to achieve.

Firstly, we pre-soak the car with a snow foam and high pressure rinse it off to loosen up heavy dust, dirt and grime from the previous track day.
Utilising Detailing Kingdom's Car Hydra premium car shampoo in conjunction with a 2-bucket method wash and sheep skin wash mitt, we safely clean the car without causing existing damage to the paintwork.
We then use dK's Wheel X to clean the wheels and paintwork by lifting iron fallout particles (ferrous) safely due to its true pH 7 neutral solution. Following up with a clay-bar treatment process to completely remove any contaminants on the paint.
Paint correction preparation
We dried the car by using a microfibre waffle weave towel, we avoid using chamois (shammy) because a chamois is one of the main reasons paint imperfections is caused.
370z bad paint
after paint correction
With only about 26,xxx kms on the clock, the paintwork is really bad. Possibly caused by improper delivery methods from the dealership (holograms) and improper caring methods from the owners of this car.

Detailing Kingdom Interior Care

Black cars are hard to maintain, because it makes dirts and imperfections easily visible. But when a Black BMW is done right, they are the ultimate men's suit.

Preparation is key

A term amateurs ignore but professional embrace. We took every step of preparation to ensure the highest quality of workmanship

In a perfect world, a brand new car should be perfect, right? From our experience, they are far from what we call perfect. The delivering process from the dealership is one of the main reasons why new cars people buy from them won't be perfect.

This particular BMW has a lot of fine swirl marks from improper washing techniques from the dealership.
Detailing Kingdom Car Hydra (dK)
Detailing Kingdom's Premium Car Shampoo - Car Hydra, followed by a systematic 2-bucket with grit guards were used our first stage of decontamination step. Washing the car properly to prevent any cross contamination of dirt and grime.

A very fine clay-bar treatment is then followed through to safely remove any bonded-contaminants.
Detailing Kingdom Wheel X (dK)
Wheels is then cleaned with Detailing Kingdom's Wheel X, iron fallout and wheel cleaner.
Microfibre drying towel
Whole car is then dried with microfibre drying towel safely.
Utilising Detailing Kingdom's Next Cut 1.1 + Finale and dK Yellow pad to first polish out light swirls and holograms to bring up the gloss, and then followed by Next Cut 1.1 with Meguiar's Microfibre pads to spot correct defects and imperfections and finish down with Next Cut Finale and Yellow pad on the spot corrected spots.

Whole car, wheels and windows is then wiped down with IPA diluted with water to prep the paint surface, ready for coating.

We loosen up all of the sand and dirt with an air compressor in the crevices and vents and using air compressor accompanied with the tornador tool to blow out the carpet and fabrics, followed by a vacuum. We then used TAC System's Fabric Coat to protect the carpet and fabrics.

We then clean the dash and leather seats with Detailing Kingdom's Skin Wash - Designed for leather and vinyl, premium quality. Incorporating with dK's leather brush.

We then dressed it with dK's Skin Serum for the leather and vinyl, Skin Satin for the hard plastics such as the dash.

Mercedes-Benz C200 Paint Correction
dK FDT + dK Interior and Leather Care
This particular Mercedes-Benz has been through a hard life over the last 5 years, paintwork has heavy swirl marks, minor and some deep scratches. It's up to us whether to do it right or do it twice - We chose to do it right the first time to give it a brand new life.
Detailing Kingdom Skin wash (dK)
Starting from the interior, we loosen up all of the sand and dirt with an air compressor, followed by a vacuum to clean out the carpet and mats.

Mobile car detailing
Unfortunately, water is very limited for this job. So we used Optimum No Rinse to wash and decontaminate the car, followed by a fine grade clay bar with excessive use of Dodo Juice's Clay Lubricant to safely remove bonded contaminants.
Paint Correction (Cut and polish)
As you can see, the paintwork is awful.
We did a test spot as shown in the pictures, we tried out different combinations of pads and compounds to determine which combination works the best as vehicle's paint are different, whether some are soft or hard.

After hours of intensive correction, we then protect the car with Detailing Kingdom's Fluid Dynamics Teflon (dK FDT) sealant.
