Picked up from the dealership, pre-owned and it was "detailed" and waxed by the dealership detailers before our client picked up the vehicle. From a distance, no doubt it looks great but when it's under the sun, minor swirl marks, scratches, holograms and other imperfections showed up. 

We went through an intensive Paint Correction to permanently remove most of the imperfection and protected it with our CS2 Ceramic permanent paint protection coating. Before and after was a major change and the owner couldn't be more happier. At the end of all the hard work, seeing a customer happy is what motivates us to constantly pushing ourselves to deliver the best results.

APC mixed with snow foam concentrate and water to break down the current wax and more thorough wash, followed by a mandatory 2-bucket system wash and a clay bar treatment to remove bonded contaminants on the paintwork that is impossible remove with a 2-bucket method wash. 

Whole vehicle is then dried using proper drying techniques with using a microfibre drying towel to prevent further damage. Without drying the car with the right techniques, it can cause micro marring, swirl marks and also water spots if not dried properly due to minerals such as calcium our water. (Hence why protection is important) 

2016 Porsche Macan S, what we call the ultimate performance SUV. 3000kms, now protected with our top of the range paint protection coating, CS2 Titanium Two-part glass coating + CS2 Xcelerator. With test showing a 9H Pencil Hardness and a whooping of ~60µm, it is as probably as thick as a clear coat. (an average clear coat thickness measures anywhere from 50 to 80µm+, it varies a lot from automotive manufacturers), different parts of the coating interlocks hardness (Si, Quartz), slickness and hydrophobicity. 

Going through our intensive decontamination and wash stage with a proper 2-bucket method wash, decontaminate with a clay bar treatment and iron fallout remover to reduce chances of instilling any imperfections. 

With only 3000kms, the car is showing signs of light imperfections and it will go through a Paint Correction safely remove and restore to a perfect finish. 

An intensive paint correction is then carried out to remove all of the imperfections with proper lighting in our detailing studio.

Application of CS2 Titanium takes up the entire day, it is a very tedious process but however the results are beyond our expectations!

Wheels are protected with Nano-1's Alpha 45 Wheel Coating to reduce brake dust from adhering to the wheels and ease of maintenance over time.

Subaru WRX Hyper Blue - being a limited edition colour, it certainly stands out of the crowd. 

After a couple of months of ownership, the owner began to feel that the car's paint is starting to deteriorate - losing its luster, swirl marks and blemishes started to appear. It is devastating considered the vehicle is only a few months old.

​We recommended a Stage 1 Paint Correction to restore and heal the gloss and we are confident to say that the results are certainly a lot better than when the car is first being dropped off! (I might be even better than how it came out from the Subaru's showroom floor)

All work is carried out at our detailing studio.

​We emphasise a lot when comes to methods, techniques and importance of the wash and decontamination stage. This is the most important step that sets detailers from a amateur and professional when comes to the proper detailing work.

​A few trials and test spot is carried out to work out the best machine, pad and compound combo to achieve the best results. Seems like Rupes, Menzerna and Detailing Kingdom's delivers amazing results!

We originally thought the side skirts aren't painted until we did a test spot, and found out that they actually are, so we managed to glossed it up.

The entire vehicle's paint is then wiped down with a 20% water dilution with Isopropyl Alcohol to remove any oils, polish and previous traces of wax and oils to ensure a perfect surface for the coating to bond well with the paintwork. 

Rim's is then protected with Nano-1's Alpha 45 (by CS2) for ease of maintenance, also delivering semi-permanant high gloss that can't be washed off and window is then protected with window coating.

Interior is then protected with SiO2 leather protection, fabric coat and Detailing Kingdom Skin Satin on the dash and hard plastic for a warm glow. 

Most brand new car owners will realise, after couple years of ownership of a brand new vehicle, owners often feel like the car has lost it's brand new "feeling", that's the time you know it's due for a proper detailing. (Hint: especially when you feel the paintwork and it feels really, similar to a sandpaper)

After years of day to day driving. Exposing to Australia's strong UV rays and harsh conditions of the weather. This particular Volvo however, seems to take it pretty well. It suffered from a few light blemishes and swirl marks, but nothing too major. 

The car went through a intensive wash and decontamination to remove all bonded contaminants from the paintwork. Followed by a lengthy Stage 1 Paint Correction to restore its lust, removing swirl marks and minor scratches, also bringing up the gloss. Wax is then chosen as the choice of protection.

The next level Jaguar XE R-Sport sporting prowess, now protected with CS2 Ceramic Nanotechnology Paint Protection that not only protects your paint from Chemical and UV Rays, it also reduces hairline scratches up to 60% and delivers a high level of gloss that outperforms individual's expectations. 

We are honoured to have a chance to do the finishing touches before the owner start its journey on the road, all work is carried out at our detailing studio. 

Preparation is the most crucial step in any form of detailing, whether is a maintenance wash or a lengthy paint correction (restoration) process. 2 bucket method wash, using Detailing Kingdom's Car Hydra Premium car shampoo.

Snow foam pre-wash is first use initially to break down and loosen up dust, dirt and grime to reduce risk of instilling swirls and scratches on the car, followed by the 2-bucket method we mentioned earlier. A fine clay-bar treatment process is then used to safely remove any contaminants.

Dried with microfibre drying towel, we discourage using chamois to dry. The chamois drying method is one of the main causes for causing imperfections on the paintwork such as swirl marks and blemishes. 

Sun is our best choice of lighting to see any paint imperfections. Light swirling. An intensive machine polishing is then carried out to remove these light imperfections and blemishes.

This is probably the cleanest VH Commodore we've ever encounter, still rocking on original single stage paint (no clear coat) straight from the GM factory back in the 1980s!

It is certainly our pleasure to work on this car. Bringing up the paint work to how it should look like!

Single Stage paints tend to have the tendency to oxidise really easily compared to modern clear coat paint systems. As you could see the picture above, the paint is heavily oxidised. Mainly caused by UV Damage from the sun. More often or not, Paint Correction will be able to restore the paint work and it does not require a respray to resolve the problem and it can be prevented with paint protection systems such as waxes, sealants or paint protection nano coatings. 

Car is washed and prepped properly with our pre-polishing wash and decontamination stage prior to polishing, a MAJOR part of the whole paint correction process. The goal is to ensure the surface is free of contaminant and dirt before landing the polisher and pad on the paint work. 

Picture above shows half of the bonnet before polishing and other half being polished. A test spot is performed to find the right pad x compound combination to dial in what process works the best for individual cars.

We are using the combination of Detailing Kingdom's Next Cut compounds, Meguiar's Microfibre Cutting Disc and Detailing Kingdom polishing pads with Rupes Bigfoot polisher to achieve great results. 

Clarity, no oxidisation and swirl-free finish

Water spots and etching can be really tricky to remove, especially even when machine polishing are unable to remove them. Paint is then measured with a Paint Thickness Gauge, ensuring there's enough paint to work with and its safely removed with P1500 > P2000 > P2500 wet sanding process to safety level down the deep water etching, following up with machine compounding and polishing to remove the sanding marks completely. 

Results are phenomenal, paint polishing is half of the equation. The other half of the equation is protection. Because after a paint has been corrected. It does not have any form of protection. Without protection, being a single stage paint. It won't take long for the paint to start oxidising again. 

Premium wax is chosen for choice of protection and we are using Detailing Kingdom Fluid Dynamics Waxes and sealant. Mixing them together gives a warm carnauba finish from FDC and also high longevity from FDT and DK9 Sealant
