Featuring the high amount of 75% SiO2 (Silicon Dioxide) aka pure glass, delivering high gloss, permanent protection and extreme hydrophobicity. 

Car was prepped with Detailing Kingdom's Car Hydra with 2-bucket system wash with grit guard to ensure safe washing procedure. 

Being a brand new car, the paint has minimal contaminants but it is not perfect. 
A fine-grade clay bar treatment with excessive use of clay lubricant is then carried out to remove bonded contaminants.

High pressure rinse is then carried out to rinse off shampoo and clay lubricant and safely dried with a microfibre waffle weave towel. (We do not advise using chamois "shammy") 

After finishing the wash and decontamination stage, we then inspect the paint and found a very minimal amount of swirl marks. Delivered from the dealership with unattended care. 

We did a finishing polish with Rupes Bigfoot and 3D's HD Polish to remove those very fine swirls and also bringing up the gloss from the paintwork. 

Surface is prepped with Oil Zero, removing polish residue and other contaminants that would affect the performance of the quartz coating and then Quartz Sparkle is then professionally applied. 

Old School Single Stage Paint + Red + Paint Correction is probably one of our favourite combination because the finished results are usually the best.

To start off, the paint is in a very bad shape with almost 450,000 kilometres on the clock. Original paint! Unbelievable. 

Any detailers that offers cheap detailing service usually skips this step to "save time" - We discourage this. We believe in the saying "Buy Nice or Buy Twice" 

Of course our first step is to snow foam pre-soak to breakdown and loosen up dirt and grime from day to day driving, followed by a 2 bucket wash with grit guards to prevent cross contamination. Using Detailing Kingdom's Premium Shampoo Car Hydra

After the washing stage, we use Dodo juice's clay lube and a medium grade claybar to safely remove heavy bonded contaminants.

We finish the preperation and decontamination stage by drying the car properly with microfibre waffle weave towel (we do not advise using chamois "shammy") to safely dry the car without instilling any swirl marks or scratches.

​The long haul process - Paint Correction. 

Firstly, we measure the paint with a paint thickness gauge to determine the life and history of the paintwork. It measures 120 to 150µm. But the bonnet however, measures from 60 to 80µm. That tells us some one has polished heavily in the past, so we are using less aggressive products on the bonnet. If we didn't take this step. we might have burned through the paint. 

A couple of test spots is then carried out using different pads and combination to determine the best combination for this car. 

We used more aggressive approach for the rest of the car because it has more paint to work with and it produces a better finish. Restoring its neglected paintwork to a brillant shine from the heavily oxidised paintwork. 

We then used Detailing Kingdom's Fluid Dynamics Teflon (FDT) for the LSP (Last Step Product) to finish off the car with an excellent shine. 

Preparation and Decontamination Stage -

Firstly, we prep the wheels with TAC System's Iron Zero to effectively removing iron fallouts such as brake dust, and are cleaned with a soft and delicate wheel woolies.
Car is then carefully high pressured rinse, avoiding fragile and brittle areas that some classic cars are not designed for, followed by a 2 bucket system wash with Detailing Kingdom's premium car shampoo - Car Hydra.

After the washing stage, we use excessive clay lube + fine grade claybar to safely remove bonded contaminants to prevent any marring the car's paint.

We finish the preperation and decontamination stage by drying the car properly with microfibre waffle weave towel (we do not advise using chamois "shammy") to safely dry the car without instilling any swirl marks or scracthes.

Polishing and Finishing stage -

We polish the paint work to refine its gloss and also finish it together withDetailing Kingdom's Fluid Dynamics Teflon (FDT)

Interior -

Seats and fabric has years of sweat, dirt and grime and it just looks pretty upset.

Firstly, we brush the carpets and seats with a brush to loosen up dirt and grime, followed by a thorough vacuum on the seats and capets. We then use a brush to get into crevices and very hard to reach spots and followed by a vacuum.

The fabric is steam cleaned and shampood to bring back its deep blue finish, also removing years of sweats and stains.

Leather is then cleaned with Detailing Kingdom's Skin Wash Design specifically for leather and vinyl - removing years of dirt.

After finishing the leather cleaning step, the leather is dressed with Skin Serum. leaving a very natural matte finish. (We don't advice glossy leather dressing products because naturally, leather should be matte finish)

​Throughout its life, it has been pretty neglected and not well taken care of. Luckily enough, BMW (European cars) in general, their paint is on the harder side and they are harder to get paint damages such as mircro marrings, swirl marks, minor scratches and oxidation. 
This particular BMW underwent a dual stage paint correction to remove majority of the imperfections and bring the paint back to life.

Preperation and Decontamination stage -

Firstly, we prep the wheels with TAC System's Iron Zero to effectively removing iron fallouts such as brake dust, following by brushing the wheels with different sizes of wheel woolies.
We uses Ultra Foam to pre-soak the car in snow foam to break down the dirt and grime. We then high pressure rinse the car and then followed by a 2-bucket method with grit guards and Detailing Kingdom's Car Hydra premium car shampoo. 

After finishing the hand wash, we then use a clay lube specifically for clay bar treatment to safely clay the car without causing any damage to the paint - removing bonded contaminants. Following by a high pressure rinse the car again. We dried the car with microfibre waffle weave towel (we do not advise using chamois "shammy") to safely dry the car without instilling any swirl marks or scracthes. 

​After the washing and decontimination stage, we proceed by using 3M Tape to mask all the rubber, trims and seals to prevent any damages to them while doing the decontamination process.

Correction stage - Stage 2 Paint Correction 

After several attempts to find the right combinations with pads and compounds, we then duplicate the process to the entire car. Restoring its neglected paintwork to a brillant shine.

Last Step Product -

We used Detailing Kingdom's FDT Coating (Fliud Dynamics Teflon) choice of protection. We are very impressed on how it performs and also it brings up an unbeatable gloss on a old school BMW.

One particular product will not work for all different kinds of paint. A car's paint is just like you and me; we are different. An example would be that Honda and Subaru paint is “soft” and Mercedes Benz paintwork is as hard as diamond. Even with the same manufacturer, the paint hardness often varies slightly too! A professional detailer has 1001 of products in their arsenal to cater to different kinds of paintwork and your old mate Roy the detailer from Gumtree will have Meguiar's Ultimate Compound from Supercheap Auto, telling you he can polish your paintwork to a showroom shine for just $120.  
Don't get us wrong, Meguiar's Ultimate Compound is an excellent product, and we have it in our arsenal too, but one product is not enough for the thousands of different types of cars and their varying condition paintwork.

Now many people will think that's rubbish, but it is true. It's called Paint Correction. A long haul process that could take up to days, or even weeks to complete. It could transform your car from a $5000 car to a million dollar showroom car (We are exaggerating of course, but you get the idea)  

Imperfections from factory brand new paint? You must be wondering.

Not all car paintwork from factory or resprayed finishes well. You will notice the paint isn't like a mirror but it's very distorted. It's called orange peel, because it does look like orange peel. 

Orange peel can be fixed and corrected with wet-sanding.
It is a very high level of paint correction that I would not recommend anyone to try it themselves because without the right skill and technique, you'll find your car in the spraying booth very soon!

There's a saying - Panel beaters are mechanic's heroes. But panel beaters need heroes too! 

Paint that is freshly out from the spraying booth usually needs to be finish down with a wet-sanding, de-nib and polishing after when the paint has been baked or finished curing. Spray painting and detailing is two completely different roles. A professional detailer specialises in this area and it makes sense to bring your freshly painted car to a professional detailer to do the final touches.
